JOB SHOP MANUFACTURING SOFTWARE

Robust Software Tailored for Custom Job Orders

JOBSCOPE is a job shop software solution designed to accommodate the unique requirements of Job Shop manufacturing, engineer to order manufacturing, and project oriented manufacturers. JOBSCOPE Enterprise Edition provides management of real-time, meaningful job data concerning not only manufacturing, but the rest of Job Shop operations and more.

JOBSCOPE develops, installs, and supports ERP software for Job Shop manufacturers. For over 45 years, Job Shops have improved on-time deliveries, the management of materials, job inventory, job cost, job reporting, financial controls, and much more.

Addressing a Wide Range of Job Shop Needs

JOBSCOPE Job Shop software features meets the unique requirements of job shops, which are not met by traditional manufacturing software solutions. Traditional manufacturing software assumes companies are making standard products, stock all the parts and materials they need, and schedule their plant based on a forecast.

JOBSCOPE ERP software accommodates the need to frequently buy special materials for the job, and schedule based on customer jobs. Traditional manufacturing software solutions assume you are making standard products to stock inventory, with production runs optimized across multiple orders, so standard costing works well. Our manufacturing software accommodates the fact that the customer order determines the size of the run and the schedule, so actual costing or job costing makes more sense.

Oil Separator Manufacturer Excels with JOBSCOPE

Striem was founded in 2015 in Kansas City, KS and is a family owned business. Striem manufactures oil separators, solids interceptors, and chemical waste tanks for commercial establishments. An oil separator is a tank, usually buried, that captures oils and sediment from commercial waste streams. They are usually found in vehicle garages or repair shops so that harmful substances don’t enter the sanitary sewer system.

Even though Striem sells to primarily to plumbing wholesalers, job costing and inventory in Jobscope is still a primary concern for the business. Striem also provides custom solutions direct to the customer and has a mix of product types in both make to stock and make to order type scenarios.

In today’s manufacturing world, Jobscope has proven to be strong in many applications. While Jobscope was founded around Engineer-to-Order manufacturing, companies like Striem have benefited from job costing of make to stock standard and variance tracking as well as the job cost, labor bar coding, and inventory functionality in the core software of Jobscope.

Striem attends the Jobscope Advisory Council regularly and Melissa Lyon, Director of Accounting & Infrastructure relays her thoughts on the in-person input and feedback of the meeting as follows:  “It was nice to meet the Jobscope staff and other Jobscope customers in person.  I find it useful to hear how other companies are using Jobscope or what their challenges are.  I have worked with most of the Jobscope team directly.  I can’t say enough complementary things about all of them.”

“Having one secure source for BOMs and inventory has been life changing for me.  The MRP report has saved us multiple times from missing a physical kanban card and not ordering a component when we needed it.   The Make for Stock screen has become the schedule for our CNC machine and has given visibility into that area for our Director of Manufacturing.”
